The problem is that nobody tells you what to actually buy, how many, or what a reasonable spend per head looks like. This guide covers all three.
How many favours do you actually need?
Work in three tiers rather than one flat number:
- Inner circle (4–8 people) — sisters, cousins who are effectively sisters, the friend organising everything. Spend the most here, Rs.2,500–4,000 each.
- Bridesmaids and close friends (8–15 people) — Rs.1,200–2,500 each.
- Wider guests, if you are doing favours at all (20–60 people) — Rs.300–800 each, and keep it simple.
Order roughly 15% more than your headcount. Someone always brings a cousin.
Favour ideas by tier
Inner circle — Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,000
A full coordinated accessory set works well because it feels substantial without being a jewellery gift, which carries different expectations in Pakistani families. A 12-piece hair collection in a single palette, or a skincare kit with an ice bowl and headband, both land well.
If the mayun is in summer — which most are — the skincare angle is genuinely useful. Between the makeup, the heat and the sleepless nights, a cold-therapy bowl is a kinder gift than it sounds.
Bridesmaids — Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 2,500
An 8-piece hair set is the reliable choice here. It photographs beautifully in a flat lay, which matters if the favours are part of the décor, and it splits well: everyone gets the same box in the same colour story.
A common approach is to match the favour palette to the function's colour scheme. Yellow and marigold for mayun, deep greens or maroons for mehndi, blush and neutrals for a bridal shower.
Wider guests — Rs. 300 to Rs. 800
Keep it to one good item rather than several cheap ones. A single satin scrunchie or a quality claw clip in a small gift bag reads better than a bag of assorted filler. Guests notice the difference immediately.
What to avoid
- Anything perishable in Pakistani summer heat. Chocolate favours melt in the car between the venue and home.
- Personalised items with the wrong spelling. If you are personalising, budget an extra week and check every name twice.
- Fragile glass or ceramic. These functions involve dancing.
- Anything one-size. This is why accessories outperform clothing or jewellery with sizing.
Ordering in bulk in Pakistan — practical notes
Start six weeks out. Not because production takes that long, but because you will change your mind at least once and courier timelines tighten during wedding season.
Order a single sample first. Photographs flatter everything. Hold one in your hand before committing to thirty.

Ship to one address, not many. Consolidate, then distribute yourself. Splitting a bulk order across fifteen addresses multiplies both cost and risk.
Confirm COD terms for large orders. Cash on delivery is standard across Pakistan, but for a large single parcel it is worth confirming the arrangement in advance.
A note on the bride's own gift
If you are the one organising, the bride usually ends up with nothing from the favour budget. A separate, slightly more considered gift — a complete set rather than a single piece — is worth carving out. She will remember it long after the function.
